Stress

As I sit here looking at all the stuff I have to get done by the end of this week, I start to freak out a little. I have only three classes and I have so much homework to do. I am someone who doesn’t handle stress and worry very well, at all. Many of you probably are exactly like me. We all have so much to do and it feels like there isn’t enough time to do it. When this happens we need to take a deep breath and look to God. In His word there are many inspirational words that can help us through many situations. Here are a few of my favorite verses that help me through stressful situations:

Psalm 55:22 (NIV) – Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.

Proverbs 16:3 (NIV) – Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.

Philippians 4:13 (NIV) – I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.

Psalm 46:1 (NIV) – God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

As Chris Tomlin says, “And if our God is with us, then what can stand against us?”
